NGO UACRR as a leading collective management organization (CMO) in Ukraine performs an important social function being an effective instrument of collecting royalties for Ukrainian and foreign authors for their creative work and being a reliable guide in using author′s content legally and preventing any problems with the law for the users.

According to articles 13, 41, 54, 55 of Constitution of Ukraine, art.426, 443 of Civil Code of Ukraine, art.17, 39, 40, 43, 45, 47-52 of the Law of Ukraine "On copyright and related rights" usage of the works is legit only with the prior consent of the author (or co-athors), performer, producer of phonogram (videogram) and with the obligatory payment of remuneration to the authors. Pursuant to the Law of Ukraine "On copyright and related rights" authors and other right holders shall have the right to assign their rights for administration to the collective management organizations.

NGO UACRR acting on behalf of the author conducts negotiation with the users, concludes licensing agreements, distributes and pays author′s remuneration, collected from users, to the authors and right holders.
